::Helio Anastacio:: has held a variety of leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry over the last 30 years, including: President of the Colombian and Brazilian Subsidiaries of Sanofi (today Sanofi-Aventis); and President of Farmasa, a top-10 Brazilian OTC pharmaceutical company, marketing and sales Director, financial Director and Controller.

In these roles, Mr. Anastacio carried out mergers and acquisitions of various pharmaceutical entities including: Sanofi and Winthrop in Colombia, Sanofi and Synthelabo in Brazil, and Farmasa´s local acquisition of Barrenne. He was also directly involved in Searle’s (currently Pfizer) acquisition of Laboratórios Andromaco and Laborail as well as with the 1991 Sanofi-Winthrop Alliance eventually leading to Sanofi’s 2005 acquisition of Winthrop. He has been an active council member of the National Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industry (FEBRAFARMA), where he served as President in 2001. Mr. Anastacio holds a degree in Accounting from the Associação de Ensino Paulistano and Marketing degree from ESPM , one of the leading business schools in Brazil.
